Time Out #260

Hey there friends.  I'm so glad you dropped by.

Are you ready for another Time Out challenge?  This should be an easy one.

We are being sponsored by Lawn Fawn and the winner of the challenge will receive a $25 store credit.

These flowers were in my Bits box, unpainted. They are from MFT and I stamped them at Bonnie's several years ago.  Since they were on Bristol,  I colored them with Zigs and then glued them onto some striped pattern paper.  EZPZ.

How will you include stripes on your card.  For plenty of wonderful inspiration, please check out what the Design Team has made.

Just Us Girls #720 - Stencil Week

Hey there.  I'm so glad you dropped by.

How did you like our collaboration challenge with Time Out?  It changed the Just Us Girls schedule slightly but we are back with our fourth week challenge, hosted by Sue.

A while ago I spent a day foiling a number of images and used one of those panels for my card today.

I received the hot foil plate when I was a guest designer for Altenew in August of 2022 but it is now available in the store.  It comes with a stencil that I used with Altenew inks.  The panel was trimmed, mounted on yellow cardstock and a foiled sentiment from Pinkfresh added.
What stencil will you use to make a card for our gallery?  The design team and our guest Tracey McNeely have some lovely cards to inspire you so check them out and get making.

Color Hues #83

Hey there.  I'm so glad you dropped by.

Cream and blue.  Those are the colors at Color Hues and as soft and pretty as they are it took me a while to come up with an idea for the challenge.

The Sweetest Peas from Altenew were stamped in Polar Bear and clear heat embossed on Bristol so I could color with Zigs.  The flowers are arranged on an Ivory card base from Gina K with a sentiment from Altenew.

Color Throwdown #785 and NBUS #60

Hey there crafty friends.  I'm glad you dropped by.

Today's card features my new tulips from Papertrey Ink that I colored to fit the challenge at Color Throwdown.

The color of my blossoms was inspired by a video I saw from Tina Smith - light yellow inked with Kitsch Flamingo Distress Oxide.  The green leaves are inked with Lucky Clover.  I hadn't used my C9 Double Stripe Card Front Die in quite a while and thought it would make a great background.  The sentiment from Stampendous was stamped in gray on an Altenew Apothecary label.

Since my tulips are new I'm sending my card to NBUS.  It's also the first time I've used the sentiment too.

Have a great weekend.

Freshly Made Sketches #628 and The Card Concept #205

Hey there friends.  I'm so glad you dropped by.

It took two challenges to inspire my card today.  Freshly Made Sketches and The Card Concept.

The design came from the sketch and the bluebird came from the photo.  I played with the Winter Birds set from Honey Bee, turning the chickadee into a bluebird.  She needed a place to roost so I pulled out the birdhouse from WPlus9, cutting it from grays and embossing with Altenew's Window Slats folder.  It's perfect to make it look like it was built from wood.  A little greenery from Honey Bee and soft inking of the background finished it off.

I had a number of bluebirds at my meal worm feeder a few weeks ago.  It was such a thrill but sadly they haven't been back.
